I just had what amounted to a private 3D screening of the movie.  4:20PM on a rainy Monday afternoon is a pretty good time apparently.  There was one young kid and his Mom sitting quietly somewhere behind me, after they settled they were silent.

It is worth it!  If you have not yet seen this movie, do so!
There is enough in the movie that I wnat to see it at least twice more just to take in the details of the city and characters.

Five Stars, The Disney animators have set a VERY high bar for animation this time - and the movie runs close to two hours.

Also, for the Jerry Andersen fans, Thunderbirds will be back with a whole new series on Amizon Prime.

Yeah, I went to see it at around 1pm on the Friday it came out. There were 5 total in the theater, myself included. :)

But how does it rate as a 3D movie. I am not much for 3D movies myself. They never seem to satisfy me. So far Avatar and Life of Pi have been exceptional. Everything else, disappointing.

I hope you are well. We have Fangcon coming up in October in Birmingham if that is close to you.

Take care

The 3D is nice and adds depth to the scenes but never is obtrusive (i.e. no poking your eye out with a stick or reaching out to grab you etc). 2D would work almost as well I guess. I would compare it to Avitar - it's there, it looks great but nothing in the movie demands its use.
